Repurposing Your Content for Pinterest the Easy Way

Just a heads up: sometimes I use affiliate links in my posts. This means that if you click the link and buy something, I get a small commission at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products that I use and love, so when I do link to something, it’s because it’s something that’s helped me out in my own business or personal life.

You are likely creating a large amount of content for your business, and Pinterest is an amazing platform for repurposing that content. Any content you create, whether that is a post or graphics for social media posts, can be repurposed and included in your Pinterest marketing strategy.

You don’t always need to blog in order to experience success on Pinterest (although I highly recommend it!). You can repurpose your content and pin it to related boards. For example, if you have a blog post about what project management tools are the best for business, pin that in one of your business tips or organization-related boards on Pinterest!

Let’s look at ways that you can make repurposing your content onto Pinterest a little bit easier.

5 Tips to Make Content Repurposing Easier

1. Repurpose Your Social Media Posts & Graphics

Begin by making sure that any repurposed graphics are optimized for Pinterest, you want them to look great on mobile devices and on the app (meaning, vertical size always does better on Pinterest). Any graphic or infographic can be repurposed into a Pinterest shareable image.

2. Utilize Canva Pro’s Resize Feature

As you are creating a graphic for a social media post, use Canva Pro’s copy & resize feature to reformat it into a Pinterest-sized graphic, too. You can also do this with one of Canva’s newer roll out; the quick create feature. With this feature you can create posts simultaneously but keep in mind that the templates are a bit limited.

3. Don’t leave out repurposing text-only content

Maybe you’ve repurposed a blog post with more than one image or graphic, now consider repurposing the text-only parts to create an informative Pinterest pin or carousel idea pin.

4. Repurpose into Different Pin Formats for Pinterest

Pinterest has three options of Pins to choose from: Static pins, video pins, and idea pins. You can repurpose graphics and adjust them slightly, by adding animated elements, for example, to change it into another pin format.

Repurposing your content for Pinterest is a great way to ensure that it gets reposted and shared. Adding additional formats of pins, such as video or idea pins, will increase the likelihood of people repining pins from you.

5. Utilize Tailwind Create

Tailwind also has a feature called Tailwind Create that you can use to batch create new pin designs easily. You just need to enter fonts, colors, text, and photos, and it will automatically generate pin designs. From there, you select the ones that fit with your brand and look good – you can also edit individual designs Tailwind Create generates for you if needed.

To Wrap It Up…

Pinterest loves fresh content, even more now than ever, and you have to continue to create new pin designs consistently to have success with Pinterest. Hopefully these tips will help you get your content on Pinterest, saving you both time and effort while getting your message out to a larger audience. That said, this is only the tip of the iceberg.
